About Us
We are Jeff and Stefanie, a Vietnamese and Venezuelan couple who have embraced Mexico as our home. During the pandemic, remote work gave us the opportunity to explore this vibrant country in-depth, and we quickly fell in love with its rich culture, fresh produce, and laid-back lifestyle. Our travels are anything but ordinary—we drive through Mexico in our Tesla with our dog, choosing to uncover hidden gems off the beaten path instead of sticking to typical tourist destinations.
We prioritize independence in our adventures, connecting with locals and avoiding tours to discover authentic experiences. By carefully planning our trips, we ensure we’re at the most stunning locations during magical moments like sunrise, sunset, or even under the stars. Our goal is to showcase the beauty of Mexico that often remains unseen by foreigners and inspire others to explore it safely and sustainably.

Our mission is to promote safe and sustainable travel in Mexico, guiding others to discover the country’s hidden gems beyond the typical tourist itinerary. We strive to empower travelers to venture beyond their comfort zones while fostering a deeper appreciation for Mexico’s incredible culture, natural wonders, and warm hospitality.
How We Travel
Our travel style is unique and designed for comfort and exploration. Driving a Tesla allows us to control our itinerary, avoid crowded areas, and discover incredible spots at our own pace. While the sparse Supercharger network presents challenges, we’ve developed strategies to bridge gaps in charging, including leveraging hotel charging networks, carrying an external power source, and confirming charging availability ahead of time.
Traveling with our dog adds another layer of planning, but we’ve found large hotel chains like Marriott and Hilton to be accommodating for service dogs. With the Tesla’s climate control, we can travel with fresh produce and equipment like a portable gas stove and espresso machine, allowing us to enjoy healthy meals and coffee in some of the most breathtaking locations.
Our trips are enriched by tools like cameras and drones to capture the beauty of Mexico’s landscapes, from turquoise waters to lush jungles. These adventures allow us to experience Mexico’s diversity while staying comfortable and prepared.
Why Mexico?
Mexico is a treasure trove of natural wonders and cultural experiences that are often overlooked by foreigners due to safety concerns. While caution is necessary, we’ve generally felt safe during our travels by taking precautions and leveraging our Tesla’s security features. We’ve found that most challenges are tied to corruption and have successfully navigated these situations with experience and preparation.
The country’s diversity is unmatched: majestic mountain ranges, dense jungles, serene turquoise waters, and hidden archaeological sites. These experiences are even more magical without the crowds or overly commercialized tourism. Mexico offers something truly special—adventures that rival those in the United States, yet remain largely unexplored by foreign travelers.
